Karen A. Owens has a career in service to nonprofit organizations
that spans more than 20 years, and includes service to Cleveland Scholarship
Programs, Lake Erie College, The National Federation of Independent Business
and the United States Chamber of Commerce. A consultant since 1988, Karen's
expertise includes campaign planning/management, board development and
solicitation training.
As founder of Resource Development Network,
she has consulted with more than 100 health care, education, social service,
religious and advocacy organizations.
Karen earned the CRFE
accreditation in 1983 and was one of two professionals selected
to design and teach the Advanced Fund-Raising Management course in the
Master's program at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. In
1993, she was honored by the Cleveland Chapter of AFP (formerly the
National Society of Fund Raising Executives) for her outstanding
contributions to the profession. She is also founder and coordinator of
"Principles
of Successful Fund-Raising," a thirty-hour educational program that
boasts more than 2,500 alumni.

William L. McFadden, D.Min.

William L. McFadden has more than 40 years experience in all aspects
of nonprofit administration as a consultant, professional and volunteer.
Currently Bill serves as Executive Director of the Kleist Foundation,
a private family foundation and as a consultant to nonprofits.
Bill's experience is primarily in the area
of capital campaigns, planned giving and board development. He has served
as counsel for numerous capital campaigns (with a primary focus for local
churches). He presently gives ongoing counsel to several organizations
regarding their planned giving programs. Professionally, he has held the CFRE designation with the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
He is a graduate of the National Planned
Giving Institute and a member of the National Planned Giving Association.
In 1996, the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries
honored Bill as the National Public Relations/Development/ Marketing Director
of the year. Bill serves on several Boards of Trustees as a volunteer. A
particular area of expertise is as a motivational speaker in the area
of Philanthropy.

Michelle L. Sanson, CFRE

Michelle L. Sanson has more than 18 years experience in fund
raising and nonprofit management and administration. Her wide-ranging
expertise includes major-gift solicitation, proposal writing, corporate
and annual campaigns, and utilizing her M.S. in library Science,
prospect research. A former consultant with Research Associates,
Michelle is also a talented executive search professional.
Before joining the firm, Michelle successfully directed and/or managed
fund development programs for several of the community’s most respected
institutions, including the Cuyahoga County Public Library, University
Circle, Inc., and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. An active volunteer,
Michelle serves on the boards of Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Heather
Hill Research Institute and Friends of the Mayfield Regional Library.

Leanne Schwind returned to Resource
Development Network in 2009, bringing with her more than 30 years of
experience. In the early 1990's, Leanne served as one of Resource
Development Network's first consultants. She successfully conducted
campaign studies, developed and executed campaign and annual
fund-raising plans and served as faculty for "Principles of Successful
Fund-Raising."
Leanne's career includes service as Executive Director of Deaconess
Hospital Foundation, Manager of Fund Raising for seven Ohio Presbyterian
Retirement Services' communities, and Business and Residential Director
for American Heart Association, Northeast Ohio.
From 1993-2009, she held the position of Director of Planned Giving for
American Heart Association and was credited with raising over $21
million in future and outright gifts from donors throughout the northern
half of Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.
An acclaimed speaker throughout Ohio, Leanne is a member of AFP, Northern
Ohio Planned Giving Council, and the Estate Planning Council of
Cleveland.

Charlotte M. Stanley

Charlotte M. Stanley has 35 years experience in management and
human resources in both the private and public sectors. She has focused
for more than 20 years in non-profit management and fund raising. She
has held the positions of Asst. Human Resource Director at the Cuyahoga
County Nursing Home; Personal Assistant to the First Lady of Ohio; Associate
Director of the MetroHealth Hospital Foundation Director of the Summa
Health System Foundation, and Director of The Sisler McFawn Foundation.
Charlotte’s wide-ranged experience includes foundation and government grantsmanship,
grants management and administration, interim management, executive recruitment,
annual and capital campaigns, fiscal management, human resource development,
organizational audits, strategic and operational planning, board relations,
and communications.
She
is a founding officer and former president of the North Central Ohio Chapter
of AFP (formerly the Association of Fund Raising Professionals) and served on the national board of trustees. Charlotte
also serves as a volunteer on a number of Boards and Advisory Councils.
