The need for nonprofit organizations to have a presence on the Internet is without question.  It is not a matter of IF you will be on the Internet, but WHEN.  The answer is clear.  You should pursue a web presence as soon as possible.

But what about the recent downslide of technology stocks and profitability on the Web? Walt Crowley recently wrote in the New York Times .....

"Now their (the dot-coms) skydiving fortunes threaten to take the Web, or at least its credibility, with them. Fortunately, there is a safety net: the dot-orgs, dot-govs, and dot-edus that happily provide free data without having to post losses on the Nasdaq."

Web development companies and professionals abound, but there are very few that are knowledgeable about nonprofits.  Just considering a web site is daunting, let alone having it done right.  Your web site should be developed by someone who understands donor motivation and nonprofit mission every bit as well as the technical aspects of building and maintaining your 501(c)(3) organization’s web site.

Resource Development Network is pleased to announce its new nonprofit web development division.  Bob Keesecker has twenty years of nonprofit management and fund raising experience.  He understands how a web site should not only help promote a nonprofit organization, but assist in the fund raising process as well.  He also has a graphic sensibility that will help set your web site apart from the overdone sites that permeate the Internet.

Use your web site to promote your mission, programs and events.  Inform donors and prospects about giving opportunities, especially in the areas of endowment and estate planning.  Create an environment for your constituents increase their involvement with your organization through audio, video and interactive response vehicles.  Allow them to easily your organization by making a gift through your web site.

Contact Resource Development Network to learn more about creating an effective Internet home tailored specifically for your nonprofit organization, your donors, and your prospects.
